10.16.2012 Adam West unable to attend, but Catwoman Julie Newmar comes to the City of Champs!
We’ve been notified by Adam West’s management that Adam regrets he will not be able to attend the Edmonton Comic Expo this weekend. He has suffered a fractured back in a climbing accident and is unable to travel. This is the first time Adam has ever have had to cancel. Adam sends his best wishes. Also, he is sending Burt Ward and Julie Newmar to be with you. And, there will be many other of your favorite stars at the Edmonton Expo.
We would like to express our well-wishes to Mr. West as he endeavors recover over the coming weeks.
Please join us in sending Mr. West a great big Canadian "Get Well" by dropping by the Edmonton Expo Store area to sign a get-well card that we'll be sending off to him.
Ticket refunds are available via Ticketmaster and photo op refunds are available from edmontonexpo@conaddict.com.

10.16.2012 Misha Collins, Julie Newmar, & Lee Majors coming to the Edmonton Expo!
Misha Collins
Misha Collins stars as Castiel, the angel on The CW’s thriller, “Supernatural.” In addition to “Supernatural,” Misha has had recurring roles on “ER” and “24” and has guest-starred on numerous other shows including “Nip/Tuck,” “CSI,” “CSI:NY,” “NCIS,” “Monk,” and “NYPD Blue” to name a few. On the big screen, Misha is best known for his role as serial killer Paul Bernardo in the film “Karla.” Other film credits include “Par 6” and “Girl, Interrupted.”
Misha was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He earned a BA in Social Theory from The University of Chicago, where he graduated with honors. Before turning to acting, he worked as a carpenter and woodworker in New England’s Berkshire Mountains. Misha also interned at the White House during the Clinton Administration and worked at National Public Radio.
Misha currently has more than 500,000 devoted twitter followers and is a published poet with works in “The Columbia Poetry Review,” “The California Quarterly” and other literary journals. A film Misha helped produce, “Loot,” won “Best Documentary Feature” at the LA Film Festival in 2008 and will be airing on HBO in 2009. Misha has spent several months in seclusion in monasteries in Yosemite, Tibet and elsewhere. Misha is a certified life guard, EMT and motorcyclist.
In his down time, Misha can be found outdoors kayaking, or running marathons. He also enjoys back-country snowboarding and recently took a winter trip to the sierras where he built and slept in an igloo. He currently resides in Los Angeles in a house that designed and built (not made of ice). Misha has two turtles and is a green tea enthusiast. He also holds a Guinness World Record for organizing the largest scavenger hunt the world has ever seen.
Lee Majors
Lee Majors is known for his iconic role as the Six Million Dollar Man, and Colt Seavers in the Fall Guy. Other works to his credit include Owen Marshall: Counselor at Law, a recurring role in the Viet Nam War drama Tour of Duty, and Raven.
Dabbling in the world of voice acting, Lee Majors voiced Big Mitch Baker in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
Julie Newmar
When it comes to beauty, Julie Newmar is about as close as they come to purrrrrfect! Having starred alongside Adam West and Burt Ward as Catwoman, Julie has become an icon in pop culture history. Outside of Batman, Julie has also worked on productions such as Get Smart, The Twilight Zone, Columbo, and The Bionic Woman - just to name a few.

It is the nature of the industry for people to be offered film and tv roles with very short notice, such is the case with Sean Maher. Unfortunately, Sean will no longer be able to attend the Edmonton Expo due to an upcoming film commitment. Congratulations, Sean, on your success and we wish you all the best!
We are also very pleased to say that Jewel Staite (Firefly/Serenity) will be attending the 2012 Edmonton Expo!

Canadian-born actress Jewel Staite is best known for her role as Kaylee Frye on Joss Whedon’s cult hit Firefly and the follow-up film Serenity. Other roles to her credit include Dr. Jennifer Keller in Stargate Atlantis, Gabriella Da Vinci in Da Vinci’s Inquest, and Raquel Westbrook in The L.A.Complex.
Jewel has also had a hand in voice acting, involving herself in such animated productions as Mummies Alive! and Sabrina: The Animated Series.

Mark Meer is an actor best known for his work on the Mass Effect franchise, voicing the male version of the player character Commander Shepard, the entire Vorcha species, Blasto the Hannar Spectre, the Biotic God Niftu Cal, and many more. He also appears in many other Bioware games, including the Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights series, Jade Empire, Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age: Awakening, Dragon Age II. Most recently, he returned to the Forgotten Realms for the Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition from Beamdog and Overhaul Games, playing a number of roles including new NPC monk Rasaad yn Bashir and the Lord of the Black Pits, Baeloth the Entertainer. Mark is a writer and performer on CBC Radio's national sketch comedy program The Irrelevant Show, APTN's CAUTION: May Contain Nuts, and Superchannel's Tiny Plastic Men. He is a core member of both the Canadian Comedy Award-winning improvised soap opera Die-Nasty and the world-renowned improv company Rapid Fire Theatre. Mark is always delighted by the opportunity to write about himself in the third person.
